Home

Every journey has to start somewhere, and that somewhere is normally home. So here I am sorting through 7 years of hoarding and ignored paperwork in preparation for the off. But despite the packing and the paperwork times are never hard here and I have plenty of time to indulge in the feasting, drinking and immersion into the calm of the glen. The itinerary is far from hectic and the pace of life is slower than the growth of most lichens, for instance last night we were a week late for the pub quiz. So for the next week before I leave its just more of the good food (steak tonight) too much wine and perhaps a walk in the country to work up an appetite should my hunger ever wane.

But it cant be all play and no work, one has to set some goals in life, for everyone knows who will employ your hands should they get lazy. Mine are as follows -

Feed one of the squirrels by hand, theres about 6 of them running around the garden this autumn and they are getting bolder every time I visit. My closest yet is about a foot or so, I reckon a good book and an hour or so should get a result.

Cancel my phone contract.

Two should do, dont want to over work it.

Next post should be more interesting, this was just figuring out how to work everything and to dip into the world of blogging. Also as its painfully obvious from this post theres not a lot going on right now and unless something goes horribly wrong there should be a lot more excitement in the coming weeks.

peace.
